    Corsair PC3200 XL Series

Corsair are today launching a new series of RAM - XL (eXtra Low Latency). This ram does 2-2-2-5 at PC3200 - a secret spy informs us that it has been seen running at 2-2-2-5 at 220MHz. The modules are voltage sensitive and there is a lot of headroom in other areas. I believe we might see some 2-3-3-6 parts at 250MHz. This for sure does change the way memory is clocked up.

The modules are based on a Samsung T-CCD, F Revision. They have a special mask which means Corsair have special characteristics on the IC - this is not like they have done before with screened parts.

We will have a review sample very soon.

Indeed, I wonder if one of those would match or even outperform my 512MB Corsair XMS3200C2 1.1 (BH-6)... Does indeed sound promising. I'm eager to know

these modules look v v good indeed

They now use a new samsung IC's instead of winbond as winbond are slowly getting harder to find and the preliminary benchmarks look nothing short of great.

/me runs to find out prices and availability

I wonder how they will overclock. Mushkin has some "new" Low Latency modules... but even state that they wont OC as high as their old Level 2 (3500) .

My XMS3200 do 2-2-2-5 fine. However, they're only 2x256. I've heard its mainly the 2x512 that dont like lower than 2-3-2-5

I'll be excited when they release cas2 DDR500
