    Which laptop for Uni?

I'll be going to uni in october so I'm changing to a laptop. I want something that is pretty much a desktop replacement, it doesn't need to be portable as I'll be given lecture notes so won't need it in lecture theatres. I'd ideally like 1080p, but it's not that important. The candidates are as follows:

    1. http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_...G_1053009.html
The fastest, lightest, slimmest and cheapest but it's way below 1080p.

    2. http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/ASUS_...V_1048691.html

Also quick, and a nice large screen with much better speakers

    3. http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/194257...rlrefer=search

The nicest of the three aesthetically, and although it's not 1080p it is a good resolution and has good speakers too.

I suppose I want something that's very usable, and the keyboard on the asus which is very flexy is giving my concerns. I could take my monitor and speakers and keyboard to uni but that sort of defeats the point...
It should last me a few years (probably about 5)... possibly I should just get an HP envy 17 as it fits the bill perfectly... sigh.

    Any other suggestions welcome!

    TIA, Nick.

Yup, can't be lugging it up and down all the time, we don't have a car.

The HP envy 17 refurb just threw its hat into the ring... http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-env...ptlxr&istBid=t with a quidco 18% cashback deal at the moment it's under £750. Hmmmmmmm...
