One of the things that's important to me is weight, is it light?

There is a BIOS option on the DM1 which sets which way the function keys work. Mine are function keys, so if I want to change brightness or turn off wifi I have to press fn first.

Here is a video of the DM1Z:

You will notice that the S205 has ventilation holes on the bottom whereas the DM1Z does have these.

The reviews say that the bottom of the DM1Z is relatively cool.

I would also check the hard disks in both the Lenovo and HP too. The review samples of the DM1Z came with a 7200RPM hard drive.

    Edit!!

The DM1Z you linked to has a 320GB hard disk.

The 320GB hard disk is a 7200RPM unit:

The S205 you linked to has a 250GB hard disk.

The 250GB hard disk is a 5400RPM unit:

Having bought one, yes the UK spec DM1-3100sa has a 7200rpm drive which was a plus. Scan sell an MSI machine which has a USB3 port but it was lacking something else I wanted (blutooth?).

Two minor annoyances so far with the DM1, the gigabit network port is fiddly, but then I don't expect to use it all that much. It came with a 2GB and a 1GB stick of ram, and ram is so cheap at that I will swap the 1GB stick for a 4gb stick so I have 1GB to find a home for.

It came with 32 bit windows 7 home loaded, but thankfully the key works nicely with the 64 bit install dvd

Ooh I am liking the look of the FT03, which would allow me to get a z68 uATX board...

Even more so after seeing this picture:

Thats the bag Ive got, my box is a tad smaller tho, 2 inches or so at the sides/top and 2.5 at each end. Do you want me to weight it tonight? and if so in bag with cables and other gumpf or on its own?

If you could weigh it with a load of kit in that would be awesome (the box with mobo, gpu etc), I'm finding it hard to decide at the moment... maybe I'd best wait for a while seeing as stuff is only going to go down in price. Bulldozer might be awesome for a uATX build in which case I might go for the ft03, but if it's still not out by august or so then I'll just go for SB and the SG07 maybe.
