AMD Phenom II X2 560 unlocked to a B60 Quad Core processor ?

So I just found out the custom pc Ive been looking at doesnt have manual switch but supposedly an automatioc , can any one here confirm whether this is likely to be the case for this model , make ( US ) ?

Heres what else he says about this PC.

Processor - AMD Phenom II X4 B60 quad core at 3.3Ghz

    Memory - OCZ Reaper X 4GB (2GB x 2)

Hard Drives - OCZ Vertex 2 SSD 90GB plus Western Digital Black 500GB

    Motherboard - ASUS M4A785-M AMD 785G

Video Card - Nvidia GTX 560 Ti OC to 950Mhz

Power Supply - Corsair AX850 850 Watt fully modular

    Case - Silverstone FT03 micro-atx form factor

Mouse - Razer Abyssus 1600 dpi gaming mouse

Cooling - Thermalright Venomous X CPU cooler, Arctic Cooling Acellero Xtreme Plus VGA cooler, 3 Scythe Kama Flow 2 80mm fans, 3 Scythe Gentle Typhoon-14 120mm fans, chimney exhaust effect (hot air rises)

" All cooling heatsinks and fans are rated as top of the line products, and cost almost as much as the electronic components themselves. The 90GB solid state drive makes regular use incredibly fast, with most applications opening instantly. There is an additional 500GB for storage of movies, music, and pictures. The processor is an AMD Phenom II X2 560 unlocked to a B60 Quad Core processor, completely stable. This processor allows for very fast transcoding of video and music files, while gaming benefits from the extra two cores. It maintains cool operating temperatures and very comfortable noise levels due to the Thermalright Venomous X CPU cooler with Scythe Gentle Typhoon-14 120mm fans. The fans are set in a way to get cold air in and hot air out quickly due to the tight formation of them, as well as the natural properties of rising heat.
An Nvidia GTX 560 Ti video card runs the latest games effortlessly, at maximum graphics settings, including Crysis 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Rift. I installed an aftermarket graphics card cooler, the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus. This cooler allows for a 16% overclock of the GPU core (822 Mhz to 950 Mhz) and a 20% overclock for the memory (4000 Mhz to 4800 Mhz), while dropping the temperature from 86 C to 60 C under full load. The cooler has 3 92mm inaudible fans attached, where the stock cooler has one fan that makes mild noise. Idle temperatures are 33 C in a 75 F home. The air from the VGA cooler is moved upwards by two floor mounted 80MM Scythe Kama Flow 2 fans and an additional one at the top (not pictured, removed to take pictures), as well as the chimney effect. There is enough room for air to get to the fans as seen with my hand between the case and video card.
The tower is a very unique design and is visually very appealing. Due to the chimney like exhaust, the case can be put all the way in a corner or against a wall without fear of suffocating a fan. All cables run from the top and can be neatly hidden with the top diamond pattern cover, with the exception of the power supply cable located on the underside. The top has an easy access slot for any Hard Drive to be quickly removed or installed. This system is less than four months old and has been cleaned thoroughly, with no scratches or dings. I am selling just the computer itself with the mouse (no keyboard, monitor, DVD drive, or speakers).
If you decide to install a disk drive internally, a slim slot loading dvd r/w drive is required (not a normal tray drive). Or simply use an external drive connected by USB. I have installed Windows 7 by an external DVD drive. The OS is freshly installed and updated so I can place a name as the user account at auction completion. "

Manual switch? For unlocking the processor? Check the asus website for information on the motherboard. That is the component that does the unlocking. It is usually bios settings.

Check Kalniel's post on a build he did for his wife. It was £600 odd with better spec if that helps.

on asus boards you press 4 on post screen to unlock.

How much is he charging you for this.

There are some very cheap amd quad cores around at the minute.

Are you talking about the power supply, like the last thread?

Well now Im confused , I was asking about the switch so I could use that desktop on sale over here in the UK i.e. change the voltage from 120 to 220 v or whatever it is , I was told the PSU would have manual or automatic switch to do this.

    thanks,

Sounds to me as if whoever is selling it doesn't have a clue what you're talking about - imo at least. I would consider steering well clear.

Well that could be , thats why I found it odd i.e. even i know after being explained what you meant by PSU switch, unless its not common for components sold in the US ?

Q: I’m moving from Country X to Country Y and I need to know if I’ll need a new power supply. Will I?

A: Nope. The Corsair HX series is auto-switching, which means that it automatically detects wall voltage and adjusts itself accordingly. The power supply should work just fine in almost any country. You may need a new power cable, though.

    YAY!!
