Where are the 939 - 775 pin mobos?

Damn it, I'm bored. I want to see something new. Where are Intel & AMD's next gen boards. I thought we would see some previews by now.

    I want to see a review of an Intel 775 with 3.2Ghz vs. AMD 939 with A64 3200 with some X800 and/or 6800's

I need something NEW. How much longer is the wait? Hints from any reviews under NDA.... ? Is 775 going to make Prescott perform better? etc?

Came across a review of skt 939 whilst reading the newsgroups review here: http://www.x86-secret.com/popups/art...dow.php?id=105 , its in french... translation here http://tinyurl.com/2sp57 . Make of it what you will as the CPU's are unmarked.

IIRC, some OEM's were pretty dischuffed with the new LGA sockets, causing pin bending etc.

    Still, we'll see...

I hope it'll be here soon, but I'll guess it takes even longer to get to over here :/

Well you lot cant complain, the pricing and availability are positively archaic here

(Good job ive got a free 12Mb connection at the mo )

As for LGA what exactly is the problem with bending pins? Are the pins on the mobo?

Oh don't ask me to explain it - I forgot everything the Intel guy told me at CTS, lol.

Basically it's different to your usual pin and socket design. I'm sure I read on the register something about OEM's having trouble...

Yep I too heard of the problems with pins bending but it seems a bit strange to me if they were anything like PGA
