Asus P8P67 Deluxe B2 Should i return it????

    Hi all.

I've got an early Asus P8P67 Deluxe Board with the B2 revision cougar point chipset in it. up to now i've not had any data corruption probs with it. However i'm slightly paranoid that as time goes on it'll degrade and i'll end up with an out of warranty board.

As its working fine at the moment is it worth changing it?

Personally I would swap it while you can, I am never happy knowing I am sitting on a timebomb, I had a computer with memory problems (unless was under clocked, which reset to "normal" corrupting speed every now and then), I put up with this for many year it sucked. Get it replaced then you will not have a doubt in your mind.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Only Problem is I've lost the CPU socket cap. What do you suggest?

Perhaps someone here can send you a spare, sadly I don't have one for an LGA1155.

Re: Asus P8P67 Deluxe B2 Should i return it????

I was hoping scan would hold the board in the return desk with my chip in it and once I've got the new board I can swap the cap over to the old board and drop my chip into the new one.
