Budget Monitor Suggestions

I'm currently in the process of RMA'ing back a Phillips 234EL2 to eBuyer with much prejudice. Within 24 hours the monitor had lost 2 pixels and started generating a rather irritating high pitched squeel.
Unfortunately, for £130 I was easily tempted.

So my question is, without breaking the bank, what decent monitors are out there within the realms of around £150-£200? I play Starcraft 2 and Warcraft predominantly with the occassionall blockbuster if I choose superior quality (i.e. don't sell in to XBOX for the larger multiplayer factor, as my friends don't PC game).

I noticed a rather new, yet unspoken of, Samsung model here for what seems a great price for a LED screen as well as a sterling 2ms response time. (Although on ebuyer it's stated as 5). Could this be a winner? Or am I just treading into worm infested territory like I did with the Phillips.

Personally I would look at either:

The Dell U2311H for £200 on the Dell small business website and is well reviewed. Its an IPS so better colour than a TN.

Ebuyer has the LG IPS231P-BN which is meant to be the same panel as the Dell U2311H but with different backlighting instead. For £150 it looks pretty good value.

Somthing to look at.

The u2311 was my original personal choice, I want the u2410 but my budget just can't be stretched that far, but my only problem with it is the lack of reviews specific to gaming as that is the only reason I am looking for a quality monitor and the 8ms leaves me feeling a bit skeptical too.

While the Dell does sound great for the money (and their name precedes them) I too would be a bit worried about 8ms for gaming. You do wonder how much response times really matter these days... or I do anyway ;) But that seems worryingly high.

Don't know about the LED Samsungs, but I saw this Sammy model here, it's only a 22 inch but it's priced very nicely (£165 RRP but no doubt less than this online) and wins an award in this review here, with the reviewer saying it "serves up a highly watchable picture that excels at gaming and video content." Might be worth thinking about.

Not got one myself but I'm very tempted today when I see it at this price.
