    Question DEC 2000-t

Wondered if you could help me

I have just got a DEC 2000-t from Mappers for £60 and very pleased with it and despite what people have said else where no install probs here

Quick question though, I am currently in Portsmouth and when hooked up to my PC the DigiTV software that comes with it I can get all the BBC channels, FTN, Hits, TMF, Ideal world UKTV bright Ideas and 4TV but no ITV1 and 2, Five or UK History

My g/f in the new forest gets all perfectly! Am I doing something wrong or could it just be that the receptions not good enough for it??

    TIA

    Nathan

Get a new aerial, or do what i did and get a booster box and keep trying to tune, sometimes it gets them and sometimes it doesnt. Booster boxes seem to work loads better on a digital signal than analogue and it worked for me on our 19th century aerial.

also I think it depends on what direction your ariel is pointing, though if its one on the roof its probably not practical to move it.

Its probably the reception - if you have really poor reception like me you need to errect a 50ft tv mast on your roof before you can pick up all the channels. Your uni TV ariel is shared between umpteen people wich reduces the signal strength to each TV. No wonder digital is dodgy on it!

www.Digitalspy.co.uk is the place, often the best solution is to do lots of the yogic posturing while holding an antenna. The reception is a science, have a look at all the other aerials in your area and see what direction the best looking installations in your area are pointing to, compare it to your own, and possibly try lots of different things including reading digital spy
