    The Athlon II X4 630 runs at 2.8GHZ and it seems a slower clocked A8 CPU has similar performance.

    This CPU interests me more than the A8-3850 TBH.
    The A8-3850 is constrained by memory bandwidth being shared, however this one is constrained by the TDP. Performance will likely be close enough in rela life to not be noticable. However you can stick it in a quieter PC. Hopefully it's a bit cheaper as well.

    Sounds like Id be as well going for I5.

    Amazon have resonable price for unclocked one .

    Intel Sandybridge i5-2500K
