Re: Sandy Bridge Build Need Criticism

PSU is a good make, but the wattage is overkill so you might be running less efficiently and generating more heat as a result, and you could probably go for a cheaper CPU cooler with that chip, as it's very efficient. Otherwise a very nice build.

Re: Sandy Bridge Build Need Criticism

The build looks fine. You can get a smaller PSU but you won't save much money:

    What resolution is your monitor??

I would probably get an HD6950 2GB for around £200.

Re: Sandy Bridge Build Need Criticism

Yeah sorry just realised I ended up changing my mind for this

    ww(w.scan).co.uk/products/700w-corsair-gaming-series-gs700-80-plus-80-eff-sli-eps-12v-140mm-fan-blue-led-56a-plus12v

my monitor setup at the moment is a 23/24 i forget and a 19" 4:3 next to it I know its strange the heights don’t fit right

I thought i could overclock that particular card more and has a good price point also cool and quiet apparently.

The only way you could sway me is with charts and reviews from reputable sources

Also 1600mhz ram makes a difference worth price?

Also the motherboard I am going to OC it and have sli eventually so is it the best choice I was going to choose AsRock but scan don't sell them, so do you recommend a mobo that OCs good does sli and maybe is cheaper?

Also what are your thoughts of buying the 2nd card down the line AT SCAN maybe they don’t put prices down as new line comes out? maybe they out of stock what do you think?

I give permission for admins to edit my link for me thankyou

Avoid that Corsair PSU. The XFX one is better.
