I have the XPS L502x, and it's a very pleasant machine to use. I've mainly been using it for games and watch HD movies (I went for the upgraded screen and a BD drive). The games I've listed here have all been playable: http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-gaming...t-reviews.html
I ordered this one guys from Dell refurbiiched for £490

Silver Anodized Aluminum
Graphics : 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M Graphics Card
Hard Drive : 500GB Serial ATA II (7200 RPM) Hard Drive
8X DVD +/- RW DRIVE
4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (1 DIMMs)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)
What do yous think? I actually tried to cancel as soon as I ordered it as I didnt want an i3 and stupidly didnt realise!
I rang and cancelled it but they said it takes time as its from the outlet, I then have had no word (although did ring them twice) and I now see it has shipped. It says on the dell site that If i return it i have to pay a charge of £20 or so? Is this normal even though I asked straight away for it to be cancelled and they went on ahead and sent it a few days later?

Looks good. The only reason I stayed away from dell in the end was that I thought the xps 17s were a little bulky and the 900p screens are supposed to be not quite as good as some others available. That said I have no idea how good the screen on my lenovo G770 will be, but I'll report back on that. Looks like a great deal anyway, and an GT550M should be pretty swift graphically.
This is the laptop I ordered this morning: http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenov...0_1091021.html
Yea the screen ive heard isnt great either but for the money I couldnt see anything better specced for the price. I will report on it though

I got my laptop today! The screen is good as far as I can tell (although it is glossy, unfortunately). The keyboard on this lenovo laptop is quality though, loving it at the moment.
