I've just booted up an old PC (my Dad wants it) and I've got a "system battery voltage is low" warning appear on boot. I read around and I found that this means the BIOS/CMOS battery needs replacing. My current one is a Maxell CR2032 3V, and I've looked around and found them dirt cheap. But none of them say about being a BIOS battery, just watches/car fobs etc. I would like to know, are these normal 'button batteries' suitable to use as a BIOS battery?
Many thanks
