    My New Water Cooling Kit....

    So I spent the last week planning and designing my system for water cooling. I decided on the WaterChill Antartica Power Kit in the end as it seemed a good all round performer. The Antartica CPU block reviews show it is on par with the DD RBX block.

    To mount the rad in my Alu Xaser III chassis I took a route I not seen others take, pics below show it better than I can describe:

    The idea is to have the rad as low in the case as possible while still giving good air flow, both with external air directly into rad and into case (minimising the need for case fans).

    Its still messy at the moment as its not going to be completed until the good people at Scan can get XFX to give them some 6800 Ultras

    Currently the machine is running very stable FX51 @ FX53 (2.4Ghz) with only a minor voltage increase (roughly 1.62v with it floating about).

    With the 120mm Papst fans at 12v Idle temps are 32c and load is 41/42c. Ambient temp is 28c (we have a hot flat at the top of a three story block).

    Nice, but I have two suggestions:

    1. Tidy the wiring up!
    2. Put the fans the other way around, they'll work better pulling than pushing, from what I've read, and will also mean you're not pushing hot air into the rest of the system.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Also do you have exhaust holes on the ouside of your case?

    Stick some nylon tights material over the outside of the rad to trap dust before it starts insulating the rad and reducing its efficiency.

    Cabling will be sorted once the XFX 6800 Ultra arrives, it needs two molex's remember so I will be looming and cleaning up then.

    I had water cooling on my old P4 2.2 @ 3Ghz.

    I actually already move the fans to the front to suck fresh air in through the rad and move it so the pipes are at the top now got the pump in front so it gets some air flow. Pic in a few
