    Red face Monitor and Mouse

    Hey,
I'm looking to buy a monitor for myself, and a mouse + pad as a gift.

For the monitor I'm looking at http://www.scan.co.uk/products/215-d...-vga-dvi-d-usb . Dell monitors are great from my experience and from what I hear, but I'm open to suggestions. My budget is no more than £200, and the less the better. Full HD and No more than 22" is the requirement, and should last. I'm undecided as to glossy or matte, so, yeah.

With regards to the mouse is the Razer Abyssus for £29 and the Roccat Taito for £10 - Preferably both from Amazon to allow for hassle free returns if unwanted. Yeah, no more than £40, silver is cool but the MX518 i cant find anywhere and is too much, oh, and they are to be attatched to a laptop, if that matters.

    All suggestions appreciated
    Thanks

The logitech MX518 is an awesome mouse. Had one for a few years now and it consistantly gets great reviews and is a good looking and feeling mouse. I know you said it's a bit much but i'm sure if you shop around you could get one for a good price. worth the money in my opinion

Had this mouse for 5-6 years now and it's been great, it's had so much use that the panel with the Logitech logo (under your palm when using it) has actually worn through slightly! Still working great though
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

My logitech logo is also worn after all the use over the years. But if i were to buy a mouse tomorrow i would certainly purchase another one!

Ha, puts me in a tough position - would rather not go through the market place and so if I was to go for the mx518 it'd be directly from Logitech for £35.

    Re: Monitor and Mouse

I've seen those mice go for as little as £15-16 recently. I'd be tempted to hold out a while unless the gift is urgently required. I've got a 24" Dell S2409W which I've had for about 18 months or so and I love it, though the glossy frame takes some getting used to, I found the reflections on it quite off putting for a while.
