Wanting to cool a San Diego 3700+ (not sure what stepping but around 85 TDP) on an ASRock 939SLI-eSATA2 in a cheap case with no case fans (only supports 1x80 at rear).
Was waiting for Play to get Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 Pro, but might cancel order as been waiting for weeks.
Anyway, Scan's today only page have four coolers under £10 (will need to make order up for free postage though). But the two that interested me are a NorthQ NQ-3330WLA. Because unlike Coolermaster Hyper TX3 and similar coolers, the NorthQ fixing mechanism means fan will blow to back of case instead of blowing to top of case for my socket retention bracket. However I don't like the gaps between heat pipes and base material.
Gigabyte is cheaper still for Gigabyte G-Power BL, although it looks bulkier and heavier than wanted.
Any feedback on either? Or the Alpine 64 Pro as it will work out cheaper overall.
