It's basically a low spec AMD laptop in a slim desktop case, utilising last year's AMD mobile platform + an entry level nvidia GPU (the Ion 2 chipset). Personally I don't think I'd bother at that price: you can get a new A-series APU, a socket FM1 motherboard and 4GB DDR3 for < £200 and it'll make the basis of an HTPC that would blow that out of the water...

Thanks, cost is the only reason why I haven't gone for one yet.
I've thought about building an HTPC, but it's the design of the Acer thats really appealing, I don't really have space for a big HTPC case. Unless anyone knows of a case similar in size to the Acer?
