PC Build - Spec Help. O.O

    Hiya guys,

I'm looking to build a gaming PC for a budget of 670 pounds. I have a 17" PC monitor which has a max resolution of 1280x1024 and I am happy to play games on this for now. However in the future I will be buying a 1080p monitor. Can I game on the monitor I currently have? Tbh my laptop runs 720p and I'm fine with the graphics on that.

I would like to run games such as BF3, FSX, Starcraft 2, Civ5 etc etc. I do not need a keyboard, mouse, or an OS. However I do need a decent quality headset and a DVI-I-VGA cable. I also expect to overclock my PC build as soon as I build it.

I would like to include the intel core i5 2500k and the gtx560ti in this build if possible.

I've tried to produce a build with these options but I can't seem to fit everything in to be a quality build. My friends have been also telling me to go straight to water cooling instead of air cooling (closed water cooling). Will I be able to OC the CPU to 4GHz+ with an air cooler?

I really appreciate any help please. I will be buying my parts next week. Thanks very much.

Top end air coolers are not as good as a a hand built water loop, however I think your talking about the all-in-one water coolers, eg the corasir H50 these are as good as some higher end air coolers, some of the very top end air coolers are still better.

So ether is fine, the all-in-one water coolers are very nice as they are so simple to use, generally no more complex than fitting an air cooler (you just need to figure out where to place the radiator.)

And yes you can game on any monitor, how good a monitor is for gaming is down to the actual monitor, however unless your really picky about things like ghosting and exact colour depth, I'd not really worry about it any monitor would be fine.
