Sell whole pc or just parts of it?

So i posted a thread a couple days ago about changing my case to a smaller case, but the plans for that have changed and so i am stuck with a choice. Either i sell my full case or just the Mobo and the case.

    Components
MS Win 7 Home Prem 64bit OEM
    GigaByte GA-H67M-UD2H-B3 Ver B3
    Corsair 4GB 2x2GB
    520W ANTEC HIGH CURRENT GAMER
    Intel Core i5 2500K unlocked s
    1TB SAMSUNG HD103SJ SATA F3
    Sony AD-5260S-0B 24x DVDñR
LIAN LI PCV351B CUBE CASE BLACK

I want a smaller case as this case has too big of a footprint for my uni room and i will need to travel alot, hence i need a new case.

Anyone have any idea on how much i should sell this for? Or if i should even sell the whole system of just the case and Mobo, and how?
(i built this pc 4 months ago, everything works fine)

Re: Sell whole pc or just parts of it?

If I was going to uni again I'd just get the best DTR laptop I could afford and also get a USB mouse, keyboard and decent monitor to keep in my room. Something like the Dell XPS15 or XPS17 and Dell U2311 (no I'm not on commission). Should have enough poke for uni, allow a bit of gaming - and let's face it, at uni with a high-speed network and a number of mates down the hall you will - and also give ability to carry it round unlike a desktop. And you can stash it in a drawer when the workmen need to come in to fix the shower. They'll never even know it was there...

I remember having to pack my room up each term and carry the sodding ATX tower case + CRT down 4 flights of stairs. 4 years x 3 terms x 2 moves per term = 24 arm-breaking marathons. Plus I didn't have the option to take it to the department/library. Desktops suck for uni IMO.

Do buy a Kensington lock or two. They will let you go for a pee in the library without worrying if it will still be there when you get back.

Then swap to a mATX board and case and you'll be fine. The spec is too good to part with this early.

Are you using a graphics card?

The OP is already using an mTAX motherboard and an mATX case.

No graphics card, the Motherboard is currently a mATX, hence my original question, if i was to part with this pc, i would get the excact same spec but on a much smaller case.

I would get a Q11 as it means you have the option to use a dual slot graphics card. The Q08 will be better if you want to use longer cards.

One of the following H67 motherboards should do the job:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-...-raid-mitx-vga

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigab...d-mini-itx-vga

I currently use the last motherboard with a Core i3 2100.

This Z68 motherboard might also be worth considering:

If you do get a new mobo go z68 - it will give you the option of adding a discreet GPU and still being able to get the use of features like QuickSync and SRT (SSD Caching)

on your recommendation, i was actually in the process of purchasing the Shuttle, but then was told that i would not be trading pc's (which was the way i was going to buy the smaller case and such). but simce that is no longer happening, i have to find another (this way) to get a smaller case.
