I really like the clean front.
At least LL now have the option of a small case without an unnecessary 5.25" bay in there!
Well it's more of a tweek to the pc-q08
It's the same amount of graphics card space as the q08 if you remove the lower drive cage.
What they've dont is remove the 5.25" bay, move the hard drive cage up.
ps how useful is a hot swap bay when you have to remove the side panel to access it?
And they created an additional hard drive rack, which is the concept they use in the Q11
It would make a nice NAS box or mini server
but personally I still like my 5.25" drive bays.
I like it, stop trying to make me switch over to mITX CAT!
BTW, what mITX kit could currently match or surpass performance of an Intel Pentium G620, MSI H67 motherboard and 4Gb RAM, only then wouild I be tempted LOL.
Size wise, the case has to be smaller than a Silverstone Sugo SG03B but still able to take a Standard PSU and Optical Drive (Corsair HX450W and LG Bluray Writer 8x), any recommendations, it must be nice on the eyes!
If the worst comes, I could put the Bluray Writer in an enclosure and run it via E-SATA I guess to obtain the speeds possible on it?
Thanks!
Like the new case from Lian Li. Agree though that the hot swap bays should have been behind a door that is easier to open than taking the side of the case off.
When building my m-ITX based NAS, I was torn between Lian Li and another case with hotswap bays and I went for the latter. Been having second thoughts ever since although the case I have is perfectly adequate and does the job - it just doesn't look as nice as the Lian Li cases.
Intel i7 2600k, 8GB ram and Z68 motherboard!
What about the Silverstone Sugo SG07? Only has space for a slim ODD but can accomodate an ATX PSU, however you can only buy the SG07 with a PSU included.Quote:
