Will this Power Supply fit my case ?

Hello everyone,

Having previously decided to upgrade my pc and ordered a powerful GTX 570.
I know that my current PSU with 450w won't be enough to power my new rig.

Therefore I want to buy a new PSU on SCAN but i'm worried that it might not fit in my case.

Could someone please tell me if my choice of PSU will fit in my case?

As i can't post any url's, I will do my best to describe the case and the PSU

PSU: SCAN code LN37704, easily found if enter this code in the search from the SCAN website.

PC CASE: It's a Coolermaster Elite 331, also easily found if you google it.

Welcome to the forums.

The Corsair TX650 V2 is an ATX PSU and is compatible with the Coolermaster Elite 331 - an ATX case, i.e. the two will fit!

Yes as is said, it'll fit

However I'd have a look at the Antec 520 Neo Eco Modular PSU instead http://www.scan.co.uk/products/520w-...x-scan-exclusi these are made by Seasonic (same OEM who maske the TX650v2) however it has the advantage of being semi-modular, most modular psu's still have the 2 motherboard cables fixed, on the Antec psu's there are more fixed cables (I've not been able to find out exactly which) normally it's 1 of the pci-e cables a sata power cable and a molex power cable, with additional pci-e, sata and molex as modular cables.

The main reason I mention this psu is that the 331 is not a big case so a modular psu will help reduce the number of cables you have t deal with inside the case.

It might be lower rated but should still be enough for a single gtx570, it's rated at 40amp on the 12v rail

It's slightly more expensive than the corsair TX650 v2 but again made by Seasonic and semi-modular.

When corsair first hit the PSU market, they where great quality for a great price, they forced the other PSU brands to step up their game and reduce their margins, which they have done.
While the corsair psu's are still good quality they are no longer the amazing value for money that they where.

Thanks for all the replies and the suggestions.

I figured out that 650w might not enough to power up my rig. I plan to get the overclocked bundle from SCAN to replace my old gear.

650w might be enough to run the normal but i tried some the Xtreme powercalculator and it seems that 650w might not be enough to run overclocked mode.

Any suggestions what PSU to get so that my new rig won't be damaged ?
