Opinions on the build quality of Packard Bell Laptops

I found a cheap laptop at dixons: £247.99 (with checkout discount)

    http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/packard...16506-pdt.html

Do they make decent laptops or should they avoided?

    Thanks

I've heard good things about them, have a couple of friends who use them and have found the build quality pretty good, lots of placky obviously, but it doesn't seem a bad machine for a bit of work/keeping touch on the go. 'fraid I've never personally owned one though

AFAIK,Packard Bell don't have the greatest support. OTH,as long as the cooling system is adequate and you are not moving it around too much it should still fine IMHO. However,AFAIK Lenovo laptops tend to do quite well for reliability.
