    Fractal Design Define Mini Cooler Clearance

    Has anyone got a fractal design define mini with either the Noctua D-14 or Thermalright silver arrow?

    Ive been looking at upgrading my cooling but ive seen people have had issues with these coolers height wise.

    According to the specs of the case it has 160mm clearance and both these coolers are 160mm, but with it that tight id like to hear from anyone whos got them to fit before buying.

    The Noctua is supposed to be 160mm, although I'm not sure I fully trust them as they say it's the same with or without fan.

    yet as you can clearly see the fan sticks out above the top of the cooler, so it cannot be the same height.
    The fan can be moved up or down it's not in a fixed position, which is why they can say it's the same. (although again you might be limited by motherboard clearance as to how low you can have the fan)

    All told it "should" fit, hard to tell, best I can do is suggest getting a rule out and measuring the clearance from the top of the cpu to the side panel yourself.

    You'll also hit RAM clearance issues if your ram has taller that standard heatsinks on them.

    @Pob

    Ram is standard xms3 stuff and yeah i watched a couple of comparison videos for the D14 and the silver arrow, one mentioned he couldn't fit his case back together with the silver arrow, yet theyre both supposed to be 160mm high

    @Walker

    Aha, very good to know it fits
