    PC Temperatures

    Hi

I just went ot BIOS for the first time in a while and checked my System Temps, running at idle im still getting the following readings:

    System : 38
    Surface : 40
    Core : 42

Surely this is high? This is bearing in mind that I have 4 80mm fans on max, an "exhaust" and a Coolermaster Areo 7+ on my AMD Athlon XP 1700+. Nothing in the system is Overcloaked atm and I'm worried that its that high.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in Advance

At idle, mine is at 45C, and that's with a case fan and a Zalman Flower (and overlocking).

That does seem slightly higher than it should be with no overclocking and four case fans. How good is your heatsink and fan (I know virtually nothing about which ones are good and bad)? It's nothing to worry about though.

I always say it doesnt matter how hot it is as long as its stable.

Dont worry about it until programmes start crashing back to desktop and the comp restarts itself!
