    Monaural VoIP Headset

    Hi guys,

I tried this in the gaming section, and I assume it was the wrong place. I got no help at all.

I currently use a 5.1 speaker system for my game audio. All my friends want me to use Skype to talk while we play, and I have no microphone. They all say "get a gaming headset" but I like my speakers, and I've bought them - I want to use them.

What I'm looking for is a headset like the one that comes with the Xbox 360 (see here) to use in conjunction with my speakers (does this mean using USB?). I don't want them for game audio - I don't care if the sound isn't audiophile level. I want to hear my friends clearly and let them hear me and not my game sound.

Thanks very much, and I hope you're of more help

Pleease help. I was looking at something like this but as you can see the reviews are goddamned awful.

One helpful person said about just using a clip on mic and using my speakers as voice output. Would you reccomend something like this? It wouldn't pick up game audio right?

Otherwise, I may have to get an actual surround headset and use that for chat+audio when my friends want me...

we supply andrea usb headsets for dragon software, i guess its good enough for the price as we have no comback.
