    I just got a vapochill

    I just got a used vapochill XE that had been retrofitted into a lian-li pc71 case from ebay . As I'm selling the computer I have now to pay for this stuff, I was wondering what should I be looking at for a PSU in terms of wattage. I know my stuff with air based ocing but phase change is a new area for me. The vapochill runs off the 12v line, so I'm assuming I'm going to need a fairly meaty psu.

    Also, any advice on what to buy for it and what not to do with it would be really appreciated. It arrives by the end of the week and I'm crapping my pants because I have no idea what to do . If there's any good online guides for installing vapos that you could point me to, I'd really appreciate it.

    TrueControl would work.. pricey though. I use a Enermax 461W PSU with my Vapo XE... works great. Volts go a little low, but all stable and holds good enough.

    And don't get a Q-tec or the like... no cheap PSUs that is. Get a known brand like Antec or Enermax.

    And oh, Good luck man, you've made the right choise. I must say my Vapochill was the best thing I ever bought for my comp, ruled my earlier watercooling

    congrats on the vapochill mate, Im currently saving up for my own although I think it will be a while yet!
    Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
    Enwrought with golden and silver light,
    The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
    Of night and light and the half-light,
    I would spread the cloths under your feet:
    But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
    I have spread my dreams under your feet;
    Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

    Firelord - they are nice aswell.. I've sold a few of em But an Enermax would do nicer for a Vapo I recon... atleast if you don't care about the noise. My Enermax is rated 33A at +12V believe that's a few steps above Tagan, even if I don't remember the rating on it.

    Just checked enermax site.. can't find mine their anymore, mine is built for dual systems and > ATX mobos mainly. Came with handy converters for normal people aswell though

    Saw they have released PSUs with two +12V rails, great idea for a Vapo system. I'd check the price on one of those if I was you...

    So enermax makes PSU's with dual +12v rails? Hm... I'll either go with one of those or an Antec True 550. Thanks for the help!
