Request advice on this low profile CPU HSF
Morning people,
I after some quick advice before I part with my money.
My MiniITX-based HTPC is up and running, but i'm getting quite annoyed with the stock Intel HSF - temps are fine (it's only a Pentium G620, running at 2.6 Ghz with power management features enabled) but it's too loud when the TV is off etc.
I've been looking to replace it with something like this:
Scythe Shuriken but at £26, it seems a little above what i'd like.
Given that i'm primarily after low noise, and have a height restriction of about 70 mm (it's actually closer to 80mm but i dont want it to touch the PSU above it), is there anything else that I should consider??
Cheers ears :)
PS there is an indifferent review here HardOCP.
Another review by Expert Reviews here seems to lend itself to what I want...

I use this low profile cooler
ZalmanVF2000 Hybrid VGA-CPU Cooler
Speed can be adjusted so its very quiet.
Have a look at this review - has some other low profile coolers - a bit old now but still relevant I think

The VF2000 only supports socket 775.

I reckon i'm going with the Scythe, to heck with the cost, it seems like the right one for my needs.
Cheers ears

It does not seem to get a very good review:

I think I am going to get the stock cooler for the 95W Intel Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs. It looks similar to the Core i3 cooler but has a copper central barrel and is not too high.

I have the i3 2100 in a Lian Li Q11. Currently running at about 34c. That gets to about 55 under heavy load. ie. 100% CPU
