It looks like they're on to a winner with the G5 design :)
Any idea when this will be on sale? It is socket 939 with PCI express right?
And if so where can I get a PCI-E vid card thats faster than a 9800XT ;)
X800 cards are much much faster but dont ask me where to get one :)
codename r423 :D
so no one knows anything about the new S939 Shuttle?
Hi! Long time reader, first time poster etc.
Managed to track down a video from Tom's Hardware Guide.
http://www4.tomshardware.com/busines...x_day2-15.html
There's a link to the video at the bottom. It shows the inside of the new 'P' chassis. It also features a brief clip of their new LCD flatscreen at the end. Have to say I prefer the looks of the G5 case, but the technical specifications of the P case. The fact that it can hold an extra hard drive and what I think is a better cooling system. Also something I didn't realise until I saw the video and isn't very clear at all in the pictures, is that the P chassis and at least the black G5 chassis have a small text LCD bit on the front of the case.
I just hope Shuttle build an Athlon 64 system base on the P chassis with PCI-E. I've heard rumors that thte new range of Shuttle are due September, which is handy as it gives me a chance to save up for it!
I checked it out at Computex and it definitely doens't look like a mini tower. It's way smaller. Also, the screwless setup has to be seen to be believed.
