He might want to do the L12 mod (but better to do it with wires) or mod a superlocked chip to a MP. whatever

Batteries can be very unreliable, often enough there isnt a strong enough current to blow the bridges. What never fails for me is to take 5V from a molex and just blow them from that. Works a treat.

Yeah, I saw that one googling today. seems like an easier method

That was the l1 mod yes? I thought that was to JOIN bridges not break them
For joining bridges easyest way by far is using accrylic laquer spray into the lazer pits (on cpus that have them) then conductive paint.. or on an old chip just use a pencil.
i used a knife to blow the bridges on a pallmino l3/4 mod (after ruining l1 mod).
Nope. The motherboard is crap (KT133A based & by Jetway.) It cannot adjust multipliers, infact I had to pencil trick some bridges to get full (1.85) voltage from the thing...Originally Posted by |SilentDeath|
Anyway, I blew all the bridges that handle the multipliers (not L1 - they're for locking/unlocking, not actually anything to do with what multiplier is set on the chip.) Now that they're cut, using a pencil, I can have any mult I want
Interesting stuff... You learn something new everyday I guess... I might actually haave use for cutting a few bridges in a while Gonna build myself a Athlon MP system with two different Athlons XP CPUs Or atleast I'll try to.
Good luck with your Athlon comp kez
