Question Advice on New Build For Games & Rendering £400

Looking to spec a new build with up to £400 available.

Will be used for gaming and also Rendering/3D modelling.

Already have a case, decent power supply, and dvd drive.

Unsure on which processor/mobo/GFX to go for.

Then need some matching RAM and a reasonable HDD! (and maybe a decent cooler!)

Re: Advice on New Build For Games & Rendering £400

    I would look at:

    Phenom II X4 955BE ~ £124

    http://www.scan.co.uk/ShopOffers/Index.aspx

    MSI 770-C45 ~ £49

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/MSI-7...dio-GB-LAN-ATX

This is a decent motherboard for the price but I would not overclock an X4 955BE using it as you would need beefier power regulation IMHO.

    OR

    GA-MA770T-UD3P ~ £68

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/GIGAB...770T-UD3P-MOBO

If you intend to overclock the processor get this motherboard

    4GB 1600MHZ DDR3 ~ £87

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

Run this RAM at 1333MHZ using lower latencies

    500GB Samsung F3 ~ £34

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

    HD4870 512MB ~ £76
