    Via Epia M10000 problems

    Via Eipa M10000 Mini-ITX
    128MB PC2100 non-ecc (unknown manufacturer)
    320w PSU (to be safe)

A friend of mine has a few problems with the ITX rig he's trying to build... When he fires up the rig, the video out (RCA, S-Video, or VGA) doesn't work... He doesn't receive any beep codes, and this problem persists whether a hard drive is hooked up (or not), a cd-rom drive is hooked up (or not), or both hooked up (or not)...

    Any ideas?

    (edit, more info)

Okay, as well, he's tried to use an ATI Rage 16MB PCI card in the PCI slot, and that didn't work...

so even the bios doesn't show up?
get him to try some different ram - as the board uses the ram for video memory, so any problems with ram and you won't get anything.

From what he's said, no bios or anything showing on the screen, however there'd be a beep code if there was a problem, wouldn't there?

As for the RAM, I'll get him to try that (and then post an update)
