Shuttle - PF16 Black Mesh Window Case Cover, on an SN45G?

    Hey y'all,

I'm looking to finish setting my Shuttle up before i take it away with me to uni in September and one of the biggest problems is the noise and heat. Ideally I'd like to get a silver case cover with the mesh grills, but Shuttle dont make those, goodness only knows why, and I don't trust myself enough to cut it up by hand.

    Current Spec:

    SN45G
    XP 3000+ (400Mhz)
    Radeon 9600XT
+ other bits that I can't really do much about

The current fan is a Coolermaster LED fan which will soon be a Noisblocker S3, just as soon as I get round to it. I'm looking to maybe get a SilentX power supply and changing the GFX heatsink. Id like to get the mesh grills for better airflow, especially over the GPU but I'm just not sure if it would look right and I was wondering what u guys thought.

This is what it looks like now... (the top 1)

    Cheers

oooooh that looks good, but I want mesh on the GFX size too...dya think if I asked them they'd make one with mesh on both sides? Also do I have to but a new replacement cover (of which they only have coloured) WITH the mod? So it would total around £70?

yes they'll do what you ask.

No, you can send them your existing 1.

just email sales & they'll give you a price & explain how to go about it.

So if I ask do you think I could get them to do mesh on either side and leave out the little window on the top? It just doesn't look right to me.

Absolutely, send them an email explain what you want & they'll give you a price etc.
You won't find a company with better customer service than Kustom.

Ace, well I've mailed them and now I'm just waiting for a reply which I'm guessing will come some time next week.

Just as a bit of a side note, does anyone know a good place to get short cold cathodes? 6 inch ones? I'm looking for a couple of either blue or maybe orange if they exist, small CCL to go in which'll go nicely with the new GFX HSF which has blue LEDs. Orange would be amazing if anyone knows a place that does them?

I suspect they won't be the same quality of cathode - nor customer care. That's why Kustom's average score is so much higher than E-Buyer's both on Hexus and on Romulus 2

Well the chances are the cathodes are fine, but they wont come in a pretty package. From my past experiences with Ebuyer they tend to buy stock much more in bulk than a place like Kustom and so everything comes in lil plastic bags. I've never had a problem with the quality of the actual products from ebuyer. The worst problem I had was that they once sent me an XP 3000+ (333Mhz) and not the 400Mhz version I ordered. At the end of the day, Kustom don't have any in stock, so at the moment its Ebuyer.

Anyone know anything about ePiglet? http://www.epigletshop.co.uk/catalog...php?cPath=3_14
