nVENTIV apparently bankrupt, laying off staff

We've just received word from a now ex-nVENTIV staff member that the company is most likely bankrupt and that they're laying off staff as we speak.

Their website is nothing more than a basic shell at the moment. Formerly known as Chip-Con and famous for their Mach and Mach II range of phase-change CPU coolers, nVENTIV have barely existed for 6 months.

They've not had much stock in the U.K. for the last 6 weeks, parts trickling out of Denmark at a snails pace. GTs and SVs are in very short supply.

More on what's going on as and when we find out.

They have filed for bankruptcy, Klavs Steenhof, nVentivs International Sales Manager sent emails to all resellers explaining the situation.

Slow sales and small profits made it impossible to carry on.

Lots more info on over-clock forums btw about this

Asetek should lower their prices I think cos then they would get all of the market share and look far more attractive to the consumer...

Have to say Asetek are doign well because they were smart and they launched the Waterchill which has made them heaps of cash.

They do have all of the market share - They have been around for years... from what I gather ChipCon didn't sell many.

I don't know how people at OvC can comment on this, they didn't even buy direct

Gutted, there products were very good, the thing I liked about them was the fact that you could use any case with there system whereas with the Vapo you have to use there dog ugly case.
