About LinkBacksIs it a no go? I know it'll be noisy but it should hack it right. This is an 80mm we're talking about. Running it over 12V and -5V.
I think I'll try it outside the comp before I try it with mobo and everything plugged in...

I've got an old 80mm wired across -5V and +12V right now - on an old PSU.
Seems to be running OK...

Hope it goes ok. Id leave it running for an hour or so 1st to see if its ok.

The fan will most prob burn out. The motor isnt rated to use that voltage. Wait for the smoke
Yeah I know it'll probably burn out, but to be fair, I bet it can hack it as it's only 5/6V more (ok 50% overvolt then, lol.)

Just tried it across the -12V and +12V rails (ie 24V.)
I got a ton more airflow out of it - and took a reading of the voltage...
Came back as 40V - I think the -12V rail on the PSU is poorly regulated when there isn't much load on it, LMAO.
edit: FYI I'm testing this with an old quiet fan from a PSU - I'd love to see what happens to a delta...

LMAO 24V (or whatever insane voltage this PSU is giving out) is VERY noisy! And there's an awful lot of airflow!! I'll do some videos with comparisons in a while
