    Got a new heatsink...

Well, I said I needed one - as my OC'ed Tbred A wasn't enjoying the hot weather.

Before the new heatsink, temps peaked at 65ºC and everaged 60.

Now, it's at 50, crunching seti too.

    The heatsink:

Hehe. The fan on it is at about 4.5krpm at the moment - on full it doesn't make much difference.

I have an Aero 7+ which I think is a bit pants, runs 48-53 Idle on my Barton 2500@3200.

I think I may invest in one of those

    nice fan

I'm currently looking at either the thermaltake silent tower cooler as bit-tech reviews seems to make this look VERY good indeed, or I'll use one of the scythe coolers from work to replace my modified Aero 7+ cooler ( with added ducting to blow warm air out the room, or to suck cold air in during winter )

It is not that quiet. However, at full speed (5.5krpm) the temps are the same as at about 4.5krpm, and that's quite tolerable. In cooler weather I'll be able to slow her down a tad more.
