    Best Sata 250Gb HDD

    I have been looking at lots of different drives and would appreciate some input from you guys.
    Main Rig: i2600k@4.3Ghz/ASUS P8P67 PRO/MSi GTX580/16GB Mushkin/HAF X/Noctua NH-D14

    I have one as a backup drive & it's not too shabby. Wasn't overly expensive either.

    I'd definitely go for the Maxtor MaXLine Plus II Serial ATA 250GB drive as this was intended for server always-on disk access and not really casual use - the 5 year warranty and the fact that up until very recently it was £240 is testimony to its quality ... you can pick them up for under £140 inc. now so that would definitely be my recommendation.

    Well performance and noise wise the hitachi's are the best according to storage review. Cue people jizzing the thread with 'never trust a deathstar' comments, but thats up to you. IMO they are different design and different manufacturer....
