Its just warranty's for motherboard , cpu etc that worries me - unless i can snag one dirt cheap.

haha ok smarty pants, i'll elaborate. it was a success for:

1) the very small amount of people that could actually get a bargain, due to:
i) very limited stock on sale items
ii) limited sale items!
2) amazon, for creating huge hype while actually not having to give too much stuff away for cheap

Just to point out, 20 meaningful (i.e. non-spammy) posts.

We regularly get people just posting, or worse cut-and-pasting one or two word answers, apparently just to qualify. And the mods regularly delete such blatant spamming, and Scan are aware of it too and reserve the right to decline to offer free shipping.

I'm not suggesting you'd do that, but be aware, it's very much frowned on.

I agree with all your points, but having learnt their mistakes from last year I'm sure they will have a better BF this year round. I'm looking forward to it. I grabbed quite a few things from them last year.

I started looking at hexus via links from Scan .. and then first got hooked on the reviews and detailed explanation.
And now I am getting hooked on the forum. Best part according to me .. it also deals with Photography ... My second passion!!
