I've had this laptop for a while now (4 years) and a couple of years ago I dropped it and it blew the keyboard control in the motherboard so that it only works with a USB one. However I think now there maybe a bigger issue. When I press the power on button it powers up (GFX fan turns over, CD drive turns over and HDD turns over - can hear them all do it). However nothing comes up on the screen and then after 5-10 seconds it just powers off and then on again repeatedly. Now this isn't overly unusual as it has done it off and on for a while, however it normally turns on, on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. I've now been trying it for 2 days (2 days ago it booted up fine) with no progress.
Personally I think it is dead now which isn't a huge loss as everything is backed up to the desktop and the HDD seems OK. Just has my iPhone backup on it.
Any suggestions. It is an HP G6000 series laptop running Vista HP x86.
