Any help with troubleshooting this please?

    Hi all,

well i just bought a system(specs below) and i am having a few issues.

firstly when the computer boots up it stops at a screen saying Loading operating System, it halts at this screen for about 15 seconds then it continues to load windows... any reason for this?

Secondly when the system is running it often freezes or glitches. the audio goes really crackly and the colour starts to mess up, the only fix for this is a reboot. I have changed the Vcore on the chip from auto to what it should be and i have also increased the vcore on the onboard graphics a little

Thirdly when playing back a large Blu ray that is ripped (transformers 50 gig True HD) i get some stuttering. i know it is the rip as i have tried it on other computers. Can anyone think why this might be happening?

If i put a dedicated graphics card like a 5450 would this resolve the issues?

    Thanks

Thermaltake Element ITX case with 220w psu (is this enough power?)

Re: Any help with troubleshooting this please?

The bootup issue I get myself on my new i5 gigabyte board. Pretty sure it has to do with the boot sequence or HDD spin-up set in the BIOS but it hasn't annoyed me enough to go hunting......only reboot it whenever there are updated to install..

The second issue sounds a bit like the BIOS setting "PCI-Express Clock Drive Strength".....if your mobo has it I would have a small play......normally the range is 700mV-900mV (or thereabout).

Third issue is almost certainly the on-board gfx hitting a limit as you suspect. First movie I saw do this was Avatar on a friends system with a 780g....so pretty similar hardware and film bitrate. You could always sling your discrete GPU in from the other system to test.
