    Strange issue with PC

If I immediately switch on my pc right after shutting it down it wont boot. The fans start up, but the PC does not POST and the monitor remains blank.

I had this problem before and I thought it was the motherboard. I replaced it with a new one but it seems the problem is still there.

I am begining to think it has something to do with BIOS settings but I dont know were to even begin.

    Has anyone faced similar problems?

I would also welcome any suggestions as to what the problem might be.

    Thanks in advance

Sounds more like PSU protection. You should never turn on a computer immediately after shutting it down.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way to turn off PSU protection or would it be harmful to do so?

It's probably in-built so no, but why would you want to? If you want to start up quickly after shutting down you should have used restart/reset instead of shut-down. Otherwise give it 30 seconds before powering up again.. or is it taking longer than that?

    Re: Strange issue with PC

It normally takes longer than that. It will only POST if I restart 5 to 10 mins after shutdown.
