Audigy\X-Fi to cases front audio ports

I have a dilemma, I have an Audigy 2 card in this pc, and a very nice set of floor standing speakers hooked via an external amp, but would like to do some more gaming at night and my amp hasn't got a headphone port, no problem I thought, I'll just plug in the front panel connectors, then I realised that creative have put a different damn connector on the card.
I have looked it up on google, and someone has detailed what the individual pins are and determined they are ac97 compatible, I just need to find somewhere that sells a converter cable, anyone have any ideas?

Isn't too difficult, I made one a long time ago, I can't remember how much it set me back but couldn't have been more than £4, no idea where the adapter is now though

I think I may take this opportunity to "upgrade", seemingly the X-Fi cards after 2007 feature front panel connectors, either that or I could look into getting a Xonar, though tbh I don't know much about the latest sound cards, but I'm sure I can use the audigy to replace the onboard sound in my htpc.

The only thing I've found with more modern creative cards is their drivers can sometimes be very buggy abd crash alot. If your thinking of getting an xfi, look for PAX drivers online, much more stable

I have an X-Fi Gamer. It has served me very well for a few years. It was a total PITA getting it working on Windows 7 64bit. I used the Vista 64 bit drivers, and had to download various packages (I think I used PAX) to get the various UI components working (volume panel etc). All works very well now, and doesn't crash.

And yes, the X-Fi has a front panel connector which I use.

I did have an xfi TI, but that was faulty so went back to onboard for a while, then I ended up with an xtreme gamer PCI from ebay, flaming cat.
