    Water cooling?

I'm looking at watercooling my rig, as things are getting a bit warm (and noisy - darn Aero 7). I've got a Cheiftec BX case, and although there are loads of 80mm fans, there is a distinct lack of 120mm fans. Are there any watercooling kits that cater for 80mm fans, or is it going to be a question of taking a jigsaw to my shiny case??

Also I did look at the Thermaltake Aquarius III as an external cooling option, but are there any others? Ideally though I would like to have everything in my case - seeing as it already takes up a fairly large part of my house.

    Cheers.

Plenty of Rads out there that cater for 80mm fans, I dont know off hand of any in kits tho. Just gotta shop around. Try looking at sites like over-clock, chill-tek, extremecooling etc to get a few ideas.

Thermochill 80.1 (eg here : http://www.coolercases.co.uk/details...chill_80_1.htm) and Black Ice Micro (eg here : http://www.overclock.co.uk/customer/...=17263&cat=525) rads spring to mind, can get dual version of both, 80.2 and Micro II respectively. just sell the rad you get with the kit for one of those instead, or build your own kit using one.

Aha! This is looking more like it, just gone to the thermochill site, and the 80.2 is looking to be the job - got 2 80mm fans mounted at the back of my case at the mo.

    Something like :-

    Thermochill 80.2 radiator
    2 x 3/8" BSPT 1/2" barbs
    2 x 80mm fans
Danger Den TDX cpu block etc..
    Eheim 1250 with 3/4" to 1/2" fitting / Hydor L30 etc..
    1/2" Tubing

should get you going, will greatly outperform a kit, though undoubtedly will be more expensive *sigh*

The Danger Den pump is, imo better than the Eheim. Swapped mine fr a DD, much better performer in my experience.

K, just been looking on overclock.co.uk and come up with the following:

HWLabs Black Ice Micro2 Dual Radiator
    Asetek Waterchill CPU Cooler Antarctica
    Asetek Waterchill Reservoir (RSV02)
    Swiftech MCP600-02 Pump
    Tygon Tubing 1/2"OD, 5/8"ID

I've got various other spares at home so that should be covered for £185. Any thoughts, and have I missed anything??

After reading the review I don't think it's exactly what I'm after, although if I could have it horizontally mounted on the top of my case it might be a bit different....

according to Zalman's guidelines in the manual. Basically you want to site it on the same level as the PC it'll be cooling, not below or above and definitely not with the Reserator on its side.
Don't think you could, the pump would struggle and end up being rather noisy. Surley theres a corner or something it could go in?!

There's a corner, but I'd rather have it all contained in the case (it's sat on my desk) as the case isn't small by anyone's standards. Also price-wise there's not much in it, although the install would be easier.

Right, well thats outta the question then.
Have you had a look on over-clock.co.uk at their w/c builder.
They sell better components there aswell (IMHO the thermaltake are better because you have screw in barbs unlike the welded on the black ice)
and with the kit builder they make sure everything is included and compatible.
Easy to use if your lazy
