Which gamer pc to get? Help!

Hi,

I am in the process of purchasing my first gaming pc and have narrowed it down to the following options;

Intel Core i5 2500K, Quad Core, 3.3GHz, 6MB Cache/Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3, Intel Z68 Chipset - USB3 & SATA6/Coolermaster Elite 430 Black & Coolermaster Elite 500W PSU/8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance - 1600MHz/gtx 560 ti 1GB/Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card & Headphone Ampifier/1tb seagate barracuda 7200rpm 32mb cache/Samsung SH-S222AB/BEBE - 22x DVD Writer + windows 7 = £777. I will mainly be looking to play games such as witcher 2/skyrim/bf3 etc on high settings but am a bit lost with all the options availiable. I will buy a keyboard etc separately so this is not included in the price. Alternatively, is anybody aware of a better system for a similar price. Also, would overclocking be wise on the first pc option, or would using the turbo boost to 3.7ghz be wiser?

I appreciate any input as i would like to resolve my issue asap

Are these some sort of pre-built kits? or some sort of bundle deal?

I would go for the second one - better PSU and case, and the warranted overclock will be very beneficial in Skyrim.

Out of those two builds I would also go for the second one.

They are pre built kits, the first from scan and the second from aria. Any experience with either of these? I think i'll go with the second option too, the fact that it has a warrenty with the overclock seems like a good deal. I was also thinking of reducing the hard drive to 500GB and adding a 60GB solid state for windows 7 and important/commonly used programs. This a good idea? It will only add about £30 to the quote.

Does the 2nd option have good gaming potential, sorry i am a console gamer looking for a better experience but its been a while since i understood what makes a good gaming pc!

Build it yourself, you will get the best choice of components and the satisfaction of making your own system.

What kind of games are you looking to play. If you wanna play BF3 on high-ultra settings it might be worth getting a GTX 580 instead of the 560. Im not entirely sure on how good the 560's frame rate is but i think it might struggle. Look up some tests

Also, i was in a similar position to you, didn't want to build it myself to save time and didn't wanna balls it up.

Eventually i took the leap as i could save £200 on what i wanted by building, 4 hours later and i was chuffed to bits with it.

Its not at all difficult to be fair, look up on youtube: "How to build a PC NewEgg"

I think its a 3 or 4 part tutorial, goes quite in depth and i found it really helpful.

i would suggest that try and get a 1tb caviar black and get yourself a ssd as well, wait for the latest amd gfx cards and if you gonna add another card go for the gigabyte ud7 instead
