Problem with MS wireless keyboard arrow keys

I'll do my best to describe this issue and hopefully someone here can assist me.

I have a Microsoft wireless laser desktop 5000

This keyboard and mouse are both great apart from one little niggly issue I have with the keyboard.

I am left handed so when playing games I use the arrow keys for movement

Say I am playing an FPS and I am pushing the up arrow to move forward and I am strafing with the left and right arrows.

What happens is the left/right directional arrow key does not register it's release so I will continue to move either left or right until I release all arrow keys so effectively stand still.

This becomes major issue when in the middle of a major battle or when playing driving type games.

I have tried the latest official drivers and even just the in built windows 7 drivers and neither makes any difference.

I have even re-paired the keyboard with it's receiver multiple times

Does anyone have any idea how I can stop this

buy a better keyboard that allows all those keys to be pressed

GoNz0 actually isn't being a troll - it sounds very much like the keyboard is limited with the amount of similtanious key presses that it will accept. You can even come accross this problem on some of the cheaper wired keyboards too.

In short it does look like you'll need either a new keyboard, or another one for the purposes of gaming (perhaps a wired one for gaming, as you should have better response times on those. Although I'm sure that there are other Hexites here that use wireless for gaming, so should be able to give some suggestions)

it was, an apology would be nice

cheap keyboards do not allow lots of key presses, simple as that. i spent £120 on one so i can mash the entire keyboard and get every key to respond during said mashing.

You probably don't need to spend £120 on said keyboard though! Mine cost around £50 (Logitech) and some testing suggests you can press 4-5 keys at once. Cheap ones tend to be 3 key presses (i.e. Ctrl-Alt-Delete).

not always the 3 you want at the same time though, depends how the matrix has been set for the layout
