Anyone seen any decent white power supplies rated at 650w or more? I know theres the NZXT Hale series but they are difficult to get hold of and pricey.

THe NZXT Hale series seemed to be very capable and great looking, shame they seem so hard to find these days! I wonder if there's some supply issue, as all the UK retailers listed on the NZXT website no longer have them in stock (or even listed in most cases).
Have you considered the white 600W PC Power & Cooling Mk3 Series (OCZ)? It's only 600W rather than 650W but it seems pretty decent. At least, jonnyguru thought the 600W version was fine. It's based on the Seasonic S12II Bronze platform. And Scan appear to have just begun stocking it: linky. Plus, it's modular :-)
QuietPC stock a white Rasurbo EAP 650W ECO and Power Quiet PSU however both its price and lack of 3rd party reviews suggest it may not be great. Also it's not modular.
I can't find any more white PSUs around currently (admittedly I only did a cursory search). You might also like to get something like a Fractal Design Newton R2 650W PSU (QuietPC link), which although the casing is black, is semi-modular and has white modular power connectors and a white fan (you could always try a respray of the casing if you're into that kind of modding?)

I've asked the same question myself recently. No one replied. Can only muse that it's tsunami/flood related since a number of the components were Jap based.
Thanks Tim, very helpful! I think the 600w OCZ one looks better because of my NZXT Phantom case. 600w should be enough but its a shame I can't have a matching NZXT one with the White Fan.
Where did you get your 750w version from ik9000?
got it from scan - they used to stock them regularly. Annoyed as they had them knocked down a few months back and I nearly bought a couple for future use. Wish I had now.
Scans purchasing department are seeing if they can buy some in so we'll see what happens!

that would b sick put me down for 1
get the 750w, it's no different from the 650w in anything other than power output. I imagine they assemble loads, and the ones which struggle at peak output slightly get peddled as the 650w model. They have such a flat efficiency vs power curve that there's no reason to go for the 650w unless you really can't afford the £15-20 extra
Register your interest on this thread: http://forums.hexus.net/scan-care-he...-supplies.html The more people that ask for them, the more chance we have. I'm tempted to even go 850 or 1000w depending on if the price is sensible.

You can buy them on Amazon from packetwalk systems if you really have to have one but they've added a premium.
