Mini ITX

Hi All

Ive been looking at these for some time now, and have decided to start building one in the next month or two. I was looking at getting an ITX board with fanless CPU (Nemiah or similar) but decided that they just dont have the juice that i need...

The case will be the Chyang Fun E-Note case, that wont change as i really do like it As for the Mini ITX mobo, that's proving more difficult to find! I was settled on the Insight EPIA-P4 but that is just pants after reading it, not enough features and stuff for what its going to cost!

I then started looking around, and have seen 2 that i like

Both of these look nice, but as yet cant find a UK supplier. Has anyone got any other information on these? Ive looked around and its somewhat limited!

The specs hopefully at the end of this will be, E Note Case, One of Those Mobo's, P4 2.53 or P4 3.06 depending on mobo i get, 1gb PC2700 Ram, CDRW/DVD Combo, Hitachi 60gb 7200rpm 8meg Cache Laptop Hard Drive (if i can get an adapter to hold it in the 3½" cage in the E-Note.

What are you building a mITX system for? They are not exactly designed with gaming in mind, what with their onboard GFXs and only a PCI slot. mITX systems are mainly built as a HTPC, and most of the Epia mITX mobos can handle doing well.

If you are looking at getting a more powerful system, then I suggest you get a Shuttle SFF.

If cost is a big consideration, you might want to try an older Shuttle and then under clock it to better control heat/noise.

None of my machines are ever for gaming, i dont play them and never have for over ten years The ITX will be for use downstairs, for getting emails, surfing and a bit of downloading.

I may play the odd game of Solitaire but that's as far as it will go

Cost isnt too much of a worry, im going to have around £500 to spend in a month or so, so that will cover it easily.

I've had many a shuttles, and they are just still too noisey. I want pure silent, which is why from my original post i think im going to use on of the Mini ITX fanless 1ghz or 1.2ghz boards.
