    Which 1GB memory?

    I've got an ABIT NF7-S V2.0 and was wondering what would be the "best" (price/performance/overclock) 512MB x 2 memory?

    I'd recommend the XMS-XL 3200 as these use the new samsung chips and have very low latency indeed.

    Hope this helps.

    PDF for the XL 3200 ( 2 x 512 ) for dual channel can be found here ;

    Thanks dude. £250 for 1GB of RAM is kind of expensive but I'm sure it's good gear

    Performance difference between corsair and no name 3200 is small at best however Corsair will clock higher.

    Komplett are doing Twinmos 512 sticks with winbond chips (bh5 i think) for about £80 so for a gig its almost £100 less than the corair. My sticks did 2-2-2-11 @ 200 on 2.8 v easy, but not sure if they do it on less since i havent tried.

    No longer BH-5 will be Winbond CH-5 for the TwinMOS/Winbond and TwinMOS/TwinMOS is Samsung or micro ICs

    yep, and if running at stock, or with little overclocking these would be the ones to go for

    Sounds good - is there much of a gain to be had by purchasing Corsair?

    I believe it's only a 1-2% gain from better CAS/timings with premium RAM. If you wan't to overclock a CPU from 166FSB to 200FSB then value DDR400/PC3200 RAM is fine since it is rated to run at 200FSB.
