Does anyone know why OcUK advised against using TwinMOS matched memory as a dual channel solution on the NF7-S or maybe Nforce2 boards in general. I notice OcUK have stopped stocking TwinMOS but I see this RAM sold by Komplett. It's been reviewed here on Hexus and it has better than average latency and timings for the price when compared with Corsair Value or Crucial.
Two reasons I am asking
a) I'm running this stuff with manufacturers timings at 200fsb on the NF7-S so you just kind of wonder what all the fuss was about assuming there was some fuss at some point.
b) Got a M8 looking to buy 1GB (2x512) matched pair but not much money to spend on premium RAM. So it's a choice between Corsair Value, Crucial and TwinMOS and on the face of it TwinMOS looks the better deal at CAS2.5
