Are the prices of less cycling pieces of hardware going up in price?!

Sound card and headphones I was going to buy in december time, have now gone up by £11 and £16 respectively.
Euro getting stronger, less stock being manufactured?

Have I missed something?!

It seems UK retailers and suppliers are suddenly adding £20 to £50 to the prices of the new AMD HD7900 series cards. I would blame the dollar,but in this case it is more price gouging.

Asia is getting more expensive, pound is weak, distributors are charging more to make up for less volume in other areas eg hard drives, computer systems etc. Usually these are gradual changes, but low volume of turn-over goods like sound cards are more likely to see a big change by the time the next batch comes in.

Also prices in december do tend to be lower

I was in PC depot the other day (Japan) and they had a 560 ti for 15000 which at 110 yen to the pound is about 136 quid. There were several others for about 16000 and 17000.

I wonder why the price difference normally it works out pretty similar.
