I have been offered this base unit..

    Thermaltake Lanfire Case

    2 Small Blue CCFL's
    Volcano 12 HSF
    Radeon 9800 128mb PRO - not overclocked
    512mb P3200 Adata RAM
    Amd 2500+ Mobile - overclocked at 2.09Ghz - Stable @ 1.45V

System is about 1 month old.

What do people think this is worth...?

Theres some nice bits and pieces there that are quite popular - second hand prices are up and down for a few things. I wouldn't look at paying any more than about £330 at the absolute maximum as beyond that it isn't a good deal.

Maybe increase that by 10-20. Saw 9800 128mb and didn't see the pro at the end.

Decent case, great PSU, great HSF, great (if now entry level) graphics card, decent RAM, great CPU (should do more than 2.09ghz though, I'd have thought at least 2.2ghz), decent motherboard.

With Athlon64 CPUs and X800pro and XTs knocking around, it not high spec anymore (scary how recently ago it was though, things move on quick).

If you can knock the 9800pro up to XT speeds or beyond, and get the CPU up to 2.2\2.3ghz, it will still move a bit though.

I think its worth a bit more than Kushtibari reckons. How much has it been offered to you for?

Thanks very much for all the advice offered so far.

It's been offered to me for about £500...oh dear! Guess I should look elsewere...

Can anyone help me out on a higher spec. system for c.£500 and/or what can I get for c.£350-£400? I'd look in the for sale/wanted forum but as a newbie can't get in.

Many thanks to both kushtibari and Vaul for their advice and views.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice offered.
