    Headset problem

Hey guys, I need some advice about choosing a new headset. I currently have the steelseries siberia v2, but the left speaker is no longer working. I was thinking of buying another one because it is a great product but also have the opportunity to try something new. So I was wondering if there is anything better around this price point ~ £65.

I was thinking I could fix the current headset, with some solder, but the breakage appears to be quite far up the cable near the headphones themselves and I don't think I'll be able fix it.

Hi there, I really like the sennheiser headsets. They are good quality and fairly sturdy, I have 2 pairs of Sennheisers and the headset I currently use has worked for the last 7+ years. The PC 330s are in the same price range as the steelseries headset.

How long have you had them?

Could you not return them as they have a two year warranty.

    Re: Headset problem

I got them April last year, but from ebay for £40, so I think it came with warranty but I'm not sure if steelseries will take it. I'd probably be happier with a new one that isn't from China. Thanks for the advice though, I've never had to RMA anything before so I didn't consider it.

    Re: Headset problem

I've got the exact same problem with my Siberia V2s, where the left cup has become much quieter than the right.. Seems to be a problem with them if you google it.

Give Steelseries a ring and explain that you've noticed a lot of people with the same problem on Google, and see if you can RMA them.. Mine are out of warranty now

seems to be a big issue with QC on these headphones. Mine and Hoonigans have both had similar issues - great while they worked but could never recommend them to anyone. dont buy again they will go the same way.

    Re: Headset problem

For a budget of ~£65 I would go with what Pete301 suggests, The Sennheiser PC 330.

    Re: Headset problem

I'd be willing to go upto around £100 if the price is justified and my friend was recommending the steelseries 7h.

    Re: Headset problem

I've a pair of Razor Carcharias (£66.96),http://www.scan.co.uk/products/razer...et-51-with-mic, which I really like. But a mate has some Asus Vulcan ANC, http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-...gaming-headset, which are fantastic (if I was buying again, these Asus are the ones I would get) for £79.18.
